What is a Meal Plan?

A Meal Plan unlocks delicious meals, coffee, snacks, and more, at 25 across campus. Your Meal Plan is a combination of Meal Swipes, Pirate Meals, and either Gold or Purple Bucks, conveniently loaded onto your 1Card. No need to carry additional cards or cash!

Meal Swipes give you access to any of our all-you-care-to-eat dining halls, Todd Dining Hall and West End Dining Hall.

Gold and Purple Bucks

Gold and Purple Bucksmay be used at any ECU Dining location. Purple Bucks roll from Fall to Spring, then expire at the end of the Spring semester. Gold Bucks follow you until graduation. Visit our locations page for location information, including dining hall menus and hours of operation.


Exchange

Pirate Meals

Pirate Meals are pre-set combo meals that can be used at most ECU Dining retail locations on campus. Each combo comes with either an entrée+side+drink or entrée+drink. You can use up to 3 pirate meals per order. Students with Gold Commuter plans may also use one Pirate Meal for entry into Todd and West End Dining Halls.

To-go meals
Ozzi boxes can be purchased for a one-time fee of $5.99, and then used to take up to three to-go meals out of the dining halls per week. Simply return your last box and request a new one!


Managing Your Plan

There are three ways you can check your Pirate Meal and Purple/Gold Bucks balance:

  • On the GET app

  • On your receipt after a purchase at any dining location

  • By emailing dining@ecu.edu
